One simple dish I love is Ampalaya Salad. I know most with Ilocano
descendants like me are familiar with this one.
You will need:
1 bunch of ampalaya stalks, leaves collected
3 pcs medium sized tomatoes diced
Bagoong alamang or halubaybay, amount depends on your taste preference.
Here’s how to do it:
Blanch the leaves. Drain and squeeze excess water.
Add tomatoes and
bagoong.
You may also add spring onions for added flavor.
