Homemade Crispy Chicken Fillet Recipe

Crispy chicken fillet is my son's favorite meal at McDonald's. That's why I am obliged to make a copycat of McDonald's crispy chicken fillet. But I have to warn you that this recipe I am sharing is not the exact taste and look of McDonald's crispy chicken fillet. Though I can guarantee that your kids will love this crispy chicken fillet.

Here is my Crispy Chicken Fillet recipe:

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts, cut into 7 fillets (pounded)
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
vegetable oil

Cooking Instruction:

1. Beat the egg in a bowl then stir in water until well blended.
2. In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder. Mix these well. In another bowl, put the bread crumbs.
3. Dip in the chicken fillet into the flour mixture bowl. Make sure to entirely cover the fillet. Dip in the flour covered fillet into the egg mixture.  Let the excess drip off it. Then rolled it over bread crumbs. Repeat this step for all the chicken fillet. Let it chill inside the refrigerator for 1 hour.
4. Heat oil in a pan. Add the fillet one by one. Alternately, you can air fry the fillet for 10 minutes at 200 C, which I did first like this.

This way I can store it in a refrigerator then pan fry it when needed to serve.

5. Fry fillet until both sides are golden and crispy.
6. Remove the fillet from pan and drain the excess oil with kitchen tissue.
