Do It Yourself: Handmade Cloth Slippers

This is my very post of DIY here in my craft new site. I have several DIYs at the my personal. You can see them HERE. From now on, I will be posting all DIYs here.

So for the first post, I made pairs of slippers for Matt for home use only. The one we bought for him doesn't fit his feet well so he slips most of the time. The last time he slipped gave him a bleeding lips so I told Daddy we better make comfy and well-fit slippers for Matt.

Please bear with me if I don't know well the terminologies in sewing. I am still trying to learn those. Oh by the way, Daddy Allan gave me an anniversary gift. Tadaaaan!

This is my very first sewing machine!

I am over excited about this. However, I am still afraid to use it. Daddy is the one using it right now. We have divided the tasks. I'll make and cut patterns, and he will sew them. Okay right?

Anyway, back to the DIY cloth slippers. Let's start it!

Here's what you will need:

Here's the super comfy slippers for my little son!

I made another design. Daddy had sewn it using our new sewing machine. Instead of blanket stitch, he used the edging stitch.

Oh by the way, we are working on these modern baby booties like this one

Hopefully we can make like these too

And that's it! If you want it but you think you can't make it, let me do it for you. Please visit my Facebook page to contact me. It will be my pleasure to serve you.
