Lugaw with Egg Recipe


Lugaw or  rice congee is my son's favorite food. I don't know why but he simply likes eating lugaw with egg, penoy or crispy chicken wings

It's his comfort food so I make it a point to cook lugaw for our breakfast or dinner. Now, let me share to you our Lugaw with Egg Recipe.

Ingredients:

1 cup long grain white rice
2 tbsp cooking oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 piece small onion, finely chopped
1 piece thumb-size ginger, finely chopped
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 piece Knorr chicken cubes
4-5 cups of water
fish sauce or salt to taste

For Garnishing
4 pcs hard boiled eggs
toasted garlic
chopped spring onions
ground pepper
calamansi

Cooking Instructions:

1. Saute garlic, ginger and onion in oil. Add rice and saute for 5 minutes.
2. Add chicken cubes, ground pepper and turmeric powder.
3. Pour water and simmer for 30 minutes with constant stirring.
3. Add fish sauce or salt to taste. Simmer for another 5 minutes in low heat.
4. Transfer in a serving bowl and top with egg and garnish with toasted garlic, chopped spring onions, and ground pepper.


Serve hot for breakfast or dinner.

Saucy Spaghetti Recipe


Who doesn't like spaghetti? Me, I love it. So whenever I have time, I cook spaghetti.

We usually have spaghetti for dinner on Sundays paired with air fried chicken, french fries or this tacos.

Now let me share to you a simple saucy spaghetti recipe.

Ingredients:

250 grams spaghetti noodles, cooked according to packaging

For Sauce:
1 tbsp cooking oil
500 grams UFC Spaghetti Sauce (Sweet Filipino Style)
250 grams ground pork or beef
4 pcs regular Purefoods TJ hotdog, chopped 
1 small can Jolly Mushroom, sliced
1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped
1 medium sized carrots, shredded or finely chopped
1 small onion
1/2 pork/beef cube
2 tbsps brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

1. Saute garlic. Then add giniling and pork cube. Cook until brown.
2. Add the chopped red bell pepper and hotdog. 
3. When the hotdog is already cooked, add the mushroom then chopped carrots. Cover and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Add the spaghetti sauce and brown sugar. Cover and let it simmer again for 2 minutes.
5. Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer again for 1 minute.

Serve hot with your favorite side dish.

I used board paper for this and that's it. But I recommend that if you have laminating machine laminate the bookmarks so it won't easily be ripped.
