Some Tips in Buying Online

One of my suggestions where to secretly buy father’s day gift is via online shopping.

However, there are risks in buying online. There are lots of scammers in the internet community.  How can we avoid such scammers?

Here are some suggestions to avoid scammers.

Seek proof of shipping – most sellers post their proof of shipping. Scanned or photos of the waybill must be posted in their sites or FB page.

Look for bank accounts – sellers with banks as mode of payment is a great proof that they are not scammers. Remember, opening an account in banks needs personal information. Avoid paying thru money transfers unless seller mentioned that he/she has a bank account.

Ask for meet-ups – On your first purchase, you can ask the seller to visit their location or at least met-ups. This will let meet the seller face-to-face. Be sure that you are meeting in a public place like malls. Never agree on doubtful or unfamiliar places as meeting place.

Check for reviews – Some customers leave reviews or comments on seller’s page.

Some full product reviews like leblanc bliss Bb clarinet review mentioned where they purchase the products. From this, you can say that the online seller is a legit and trusted one.

Comments like they already received and happy about the products can be an indication that these sellers. Negative reviews like defective, wrong products and late deliveries can also help if you are going to pursue your purchase on that seller.

These tips are based on our experience as buyer and seller too.

Do you have some tips to share too?

Back To School Online Shopping

In two weeks, the new school year is about to start. Have you already completed your kids' back-to-school shopping supplies?

Last Sunday, we went to the mall to buy my son's back-to-school to buy list. As expected, parking was a great challenge and it was scorching hot outside. Inside the mall, there were a lot of people shopping for school supplies too. Walking and pushing with so many people around was really tiring. I can hardly feel the coldness of air-condition unit inside. Thank God we have completed my son's back-to-school to buy list.

But in times like this, I will really choose online shopping than going to the malls. I know most of you will agree with me. So it's no surprise that online shopping sites are emerging.

Just recently, I saw a new online platform called ShopBack. ShopBack is not just a one-stop online shop. At Shopback, you can shop online then earn cashback.

What to Do After Car Accident?

I’ve been driving most of my time. I used to go to our Tarlac plant every Tuesdays and Thursdays. I used to observe some accidents, either collisions or self-inflicted, along the way.

There is one incident that I was almost caught into an accident.

A cement mixer truck overtake and suddenly, one of the tires bursts. Some of the fragments were hitting my wind shield. I really don’t know what to do that time. I tried to lower my speed but the fragments kept on coming. I tired to speed up to pass the flying fragments but I saw the truck swerving. I just pull the car over and stopped for a while until the road clears.

Lemon Square Inipit Sylvanas

I already tried making sylvanas but I got difficulty in doing the meringue. So I tried to search for other options and looked for a ready made meringue but I cannot find anyone that sells it.

Then one time I saw “toasted cakes” in a bakeshop here. I bought some and it tastes good. This gave me an idea to use toasted cakes to make sylvanas. Instead of cakes, I used Lemon Square Inipit.

Mocha Cake

I’ve been trying to bake a “perfect cake” but I find difficulty in doing it. I tried different recipes following the exact measurements indicated but still failed to make a good one. Often times, it looks good inside the oven during baking process but once it goes out, biglang nag-iiba.

I also followed different techniques like placing water inside the oven while baking to make it moist, lowering the temperature from 175ºC to 150ºC, using the lower heater only, and many more. Still, it wasn’t a success.

How can I make a nice and “perfect” finished product kung sa cake pa lang bagsak na.

Sabi nga nila, keep on trying then list all the things you made so once succeeded in getting a nice output, alam mo na kung anu ang dapat gawin sa susunod.

Slouchy Hat

I just want to share another type of hat that we included in our made-to-order list- The Slouchy Hats.

One of our work colleagues asked if we can make these types of hat. She showed us the photo she got from the internet. I examined the type of stitch used first before committing. It only used shell stitches and I accepted the order.
