Crafting is like life. We need to take one stitch/step at a time. But I think if your time is your enemy then you will make the most out of it, multitasking so to speak. And I am so guilty with that.

But I have learned that in order to save time and make your craft really nice, you must focus on it and refrain from doing multitask like browsing the net, hehe.

So just take it easy.

I am working in a new design of crochet Hello Kitty. I started working on it last Sunday and up to now I am not yet done. Well, I am not working on it full time that's why. Another reason is whenever I am working on a new design, I always have the hard time figuring how to do it especially when I started from a scratch, that is no pattern.

This Hello Kitty booties is darn cute. I promise to post the photo after I am done on it. For the meantime, here's what I have done already.

I have made Hello Kitty faces and I will attach these on the booties. Hopefully I can finish this tonight :)

This is another typical pinoy meal. Fish, tomatoes and eggs combined. Fish is fried first before adding back to the tomato-egg mixture.

An Ilocano dish composed of mixture of vegetables commonly heard in the Filipino song “Bahay-kubo” cooked in fish sauce (fish bagoong). The flavor is enhanced by adding either rendered pork liempo or fried fish. There are different ways of cooking this dish depending on the regions.

Want a quick and easy crochet headband for mommies and your little girl?

Here's am easy crochet pattern you can try.

You will need:

Yarn (color of your choice)

Hook 6/0

Tapestry Needle

How to do it:

CH141

R1. SC in 2nd CH from hook. SC in the next 29CHs. CH80. SC in the 30th CH from the beginning of the CH. SC in the next 29CHs.

R2. CH1. Turn. Sc in same st as CH1. SC in the next 29 sts. CH80. SC in the next 30 sts of the first 30SCs of R1,

Fasten off and weave all ends.

You can use different yarn colors, 2 or 3 or even multicolored yarns. In here, I used one color and that is black.

Crochet Mickey & Minnie Mouse Hat

I have already told you that my dear Daddy Allan is the one who crochets hats. And oh he is a good cook too. Please check his food blog.

I already posted the Hello Kitty hats Daddy Allan already made. This time, I will share with you the Mickey Mouse hats he made.

Here's the first Mickey Mouse hat he made for our son. Our son love Mickey Mouse so you could just imagine how happy he was wearing that hat.

Crocheting calms me and give me peace. When I am just silently crocheting, I can think peacefully and rightly. I don't exactly know why but that's the effect of crocheting to me.

BroCauliflower in White Cream Sauce

This is just an experimental dish.

You will need:

1 medium- size Broccoli flower

1 medium –sized Cauliflower

200 grams lean meat, thinly sliced into strips

2 tbsps. butter

2 tbsps. cooking oil

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tsp. sugar

4 cloves garlic, toasted and finely chopped used for toppings

Akong-ako ito, hehe. I have so many ideas in mind but I really don't have enough time. Crocheting is eating up my time. I have plans of making customized cloth and felt headbands too. I always say I will do it once there's no MTOs but hey, MTOs won't stop. I am not complaining though because those are blessings. God is really good!

Kamote Halaya

Halaya is one of my favorite deserts or sandwich filling. Ube or yam as the main ingredient is sometimes difficult to find. In case there are available stocks, it is a bit expensive. Searching for possible alternative must be done to relieve the craving.

Last time Lumpia and Siomai, here’s another easy way to make sardines more appealing and palatable, Kikiam. I just called this Kikiam because it looks like kikiam when cooked. Also, the characteristic of kikiam that grows big when cooked and shrinks when cooled is observed.

Crochet Rain Boots

Crocheting boots is really time consuming but once you see the finished product, it's simply worth it.
