Pork Kare-Kare with Mama Sita

Since Mommy is not used to eat beef, I used pork instead. Also, I haven’t tried making this dish from scratch. I usually do this using Mama Sita’s Kare-kare mix. However, I want to cook this dish from scratch. By the way here’s what I did for pork kare-kare.

You will need:
250 grams pork, cut into cubes boiled until tender
1 bunch of pechay or bok choy, blanched
1 bundle string beans, blanched
2-3 pieces eggplant, sliced and blanched
1 pack Mama Sita’s Kare-kare Mix dissolved in ½ cup of water
1 onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced

Here’s how to do it:

Sauté onion, garlic and pork. Add 2-3 cups of water and bring to boil. Add Kare-kare mixture and simmer until the sauce thickens. Drop in veggies and simmer for another minute. Serve with alamang guisado.
