Perfect Brownie Cutter and Banana-Raisin Bread

Mommy purchased another tool for my so-called baking adventures - Perfect Brownie Cutter which helps baked goodies cut into almost perfection.

Perfect Brownie Cutter
I immediately tried this tool and made brownies but I  did not shared the finished product since the cutting part is totally an “epic fail” for not  correctly following the instructions in using it.

The package contains a baking pan with a removable bottom plate, a stand, and the divider/cutter. All you need is to make your usual recipe, grease the mold and the cutter then bake the usual way. Although, it is Teflon-coated, you still need to place either aluminum or wax paper to prevent the batter from leaking at the bottom.

After baking, just remove the divider and you will have a perfectly-divided baked goody.

I already tried to bake another batch but this time, I made Banana-Raisin Bread. (recipe below) Still, I didn’t follow the instruction correctly but the output is near to perfection. Here it is:

Banana Raisin Bread

BANANA-RAISIN BREAD

You will need:
2 over-riped bananas (lakatan or tampuhin variety is recommended), mashed thoroughly
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sour milk
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
3 whole eggs
2/3 cups butter, softened at room temperature
1 cup raisins
2 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Margarine or butter for greasing

Here’s how to do it:
Preheat the oven at 350ºF.
Grease the divider and line the baking tray with greased aluminum foil or wax paper.
Sift all the dry ingredients except sugar. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add the eggs one at a time with beating at high setting in between.
Add the portion sifted flour mixture and prepared sour milk. Do this alternately making the dry ingredients last.
Continue mixing until no more lumps of flour is observed.
Fold in raisins and bananas.
Pour into baking tray, place the divider and baked for 30-40 minutes.
Cool and carefully remove the divider.

Tip/s:
If you don’t have sour milk at home do your own by adding 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of evaporated or fresh milk. Set aside for about 5 minutes.
