Homemade Taho

Homemade Taho
One of Matt’s favorite is taho. He used to buy a glass of it every other day from the vendor roaming around the subdivision.

I remember Mommy was craving this one during her last days of pregnancy with Matt. Unfortunately, no vendor was roaming that time. Then one the morning, before I left for work, we had a short walk  and luckily met a taho vendor. That was the morning before her delivery.

Would this be a reason that Matt loves having taho in the morning?

1 liter soya milk
¼ pack Mr. Gulaman, white and unflavored variety
1 cup brown sugar dissolved in 1 cup water
Sago or tapioca pearl

1. In a sauce pan, simmer the brown sugar mixture until thin caramels starts to form.
2. Cool, set aside and prepare for the taho.
3. In another sauce pan, dissolve gulaman powder in soya milk.
4. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
5. Cool until set.
6. In a glass or container of your choice put slices of preapared taho until half-full.
7. Add sago and caramel.
8. Serve and enjoy.
