Butterscotch ala Chemist Dad

Previously, I shared a chewy-fudgy brownie. Now I would like to share another chewy baked goodies - Butterscotch.

This is good for kid's school baon, dessert, and as source of income too.


BUTTERSCOTCH ALA CHEMIST DAD

Ingredients:
2/3 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup peanuts, chopped (optional: cashew nuts)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 175ÂșC.
2. Sift together all-purpose flour and baking powder. Set aside.
3. In a saucepan, mix butter and brown sugar until butter melted.
4. Add egg and mix.
5. Mix flour mixture and vanilla.
6. Fold in ¾ cup peanuts.
7. Pour in a pan lined with greased parchment paper.
8. Sprinkle the rest of the nuts.
9. Bake for 30 minutes.
10. Cool and cut.
