Mommy and I planned to celebrate our 6th
anniversary in Shakey’s or Pizza Hut since both of us are really craving for
pizza. Unfortunately, our anniversary falls on the centennial celebration of
the Iglesia Ni Cristo and heavy traffic was reported going to SM Marilao.
To satisfy our pizza craving, I made a homemade
one. I used the ready-made Del Monte Italian Style Pizza Sauce.

HOMEMADE PIZZA
You will need:
For the dough:
3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp dry yeast dissolved in 1 cup lukewarm water
1 tbsp salt
water
For the toppings:
I used sautéed ground beef, cooked ham, bell pepper, cheddar cheese,
onion rings and sausage.
Here’s how to do it:
To make the dough, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the
dissolved yeast. Little by little, add water until the mixture until you will
achieve a dough that is not saggy. Cover the bowl with cling wrap or aluminum
foil and rest in a warm place for at least 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 175ºC.
Using roller pin, flatten the dough and place in a greased pizza pan.
Spread over the pizza sauce and place the toppings. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
Tip/s:
Be sure to bake the pizza as soon as you placed the sauce and toppings.
Do not let it rest in a warm place, instead put it inside the
refrigerator or the dough will continue to rise or expand.
