Photography Tip: When to Shoot Flowers 2

Here's another simple tip I get from Scott Kelby on when to shoot flowers. You will get a better shot of flowers early morning or late afternoon. It is recommended to shoot them right at the first hour after sunrise or and hour after sunset. Here is an example of a Bougainvillea took at around 5:45-6:00pm.

    1. At these times, the colors of the flowers are not washed out by the sunlight.

  2. Nice shot, yeah. I agree that we can get a good shot in the early morning. But am not sure about the evening, unless you have a really good camera lens. ;)

  4. I know little techniques about photography. I just keep on trying all settings and shoot to see the difference. Wish I could attend a photography 101 someday. :) Nice shot. :)

  10. I think the photo is still underexposed. Maybe it's because 5:45-6 am is still quite dark nowadays because of the rainy weather unlike when the weather is normally fine.

  12. Oiiiii you have a photography blog din pala Daddy Allan, nice! Nice shot, but did you use flash on this one? I guess the hours described are the golden hours right? Nice natural lighting for portraits occur around that time too, but once the sun goes down, wala na.
