Apple Crumble

Apple Crumble

I saw this recipe at the back of Graham Crackers packaging one time I did Tiramisu. Since it doesn't require baking using oven, I tried making this as our afternoon snack over the weekends.

Ingredients: Sugar, apples, butter, cinnamon powder, Graham crackers

Ingredients:
For the crust:
15-20 pieces graham crackers, crushed
½ cup butter
½ cup margarine
¼ cup flour
½ cup oatmeal
¼ cup sugar

For the filling:
2 pcs apples, thinly sliced
2 tsps cinnamon powder
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
4 tbsps water

Here’s how to do it:
Prepare the crust by melting over low heat the butter and margarine. Add sugar, flour, oatmeal and crushed graham crackers. In a greased pan, press evenly half of the mixture at the bottom. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

While waiting for the crust, combine all the ingredients for filling in a sauce. Cook over medium heat until apples become tender and sauce thickens. Let it cool.

Once the filling is cooled, pour it over the prepared crust. Pour the remaining half of the graham mixture on top and press evenly. Cover and refrigerate before serving.

Topped with the remaining Graham Crust Mixture

This can be served with hot or cold beverages.

  6. Oh, I would love to try this. Been doing ref cake quite often but haven't tried this apple crumble. A nice twist to the usual ref cake, albeit using grahams din. Makabili nga ng mga ingredients na yan. Yay! Excited. :-)
