Floating Gelatin

I was about to make some “crystals” for the fruit shake but upon opening the fridge, I found some pineapple tidbits and “pasas”. So I decided to make floating gelatin.

You will need:
1 pack clear gelatin, unflavoured
Pineapple tidbits, syrup reserved for the gelatin
Pasas, dried grapes
½ cup sugar
4 cups water

Here’s how to do it:
Dissolve half of gelatin in 2 cups of water and ¼ cup sugar. Over low heat, continue stirring until it started to boil. Remove from heat and pour into the mold (containing pineapple tidbits and pasas) until half filled. Chill for about 15 minutes.

After chilling, prepare another batch of gelatin using the remaining ingredients. Place pasas and tidbits on top of the chilled gelatin. Pour the 2nd batch of gelatin until covered fruits are covered.

Doing this step will make an impression that the fruits are floating.

Tip/s:
Do not use fresh pineapple, mango and kiwi fruits when making gelatin. These fruits contain enzymes that breaks the gelatin.
